Dr. Misee Harris has come under a lot of racial discrimination throughout her time at a dental practice and is now receiving more harassment due to wanting to be the first black bachelorette. She was selected as a contestant for the show Bachelor but turned it down in hopes of reaching a bigger goal and getting an opportunity for black woman everywhere. In the practice she was told she had to go to a meeting with all other practitioners due to social media comments she had posted. Once in the meeting it was told that her cartoon she posted was very damaging to everyone in the practice. This cartoon was in response to Michael Brown and many other people in the black community that has been damaged by recent findings in the news. The worst part is that her views had also been brought up by the production crew of the Bachelorette as well and was seen as something they could not pursue.
